Server Colocation

Tsoft offers colocation services in our San Francisco office. It's a general office environment, with clean UPS power and cooling. We don't have the raised floors, Halon fire gear, or card-key access a high-class colocation facility has, but feel we can offer excellent quality and value in an entry-level colocation service.

Access to your hardware is by appointment. We'll provide the occasional system reset or other simple assist at no charge. Tape backup services are available on your request for a minimal fee (your drive, or our drives) which varies with the type of system and size of data. All prices quoted here are for a baby- to mid- tower or comparable-sized PC system or rack case (latter is much preferred). Your machine should be VGA capable--we provide a VGA monitor, keyboard, and MS compatible serial mouse on a switchbox. Colocation of other hardware (ie, Suns, Macs, etc.) is negotiable.

Measured Transfer Colocation

You can transfer data to the Internet at greater than T-1 speeds. You're charged based on the amount of data that is transfered in + out from your server.

Low-volume:
- First machine base fee: $145/mo.
- Additional machine under same account: $100/mo.
- Included data transfer: 0 Megabyte
- Additional data transfer: $4/100 Megabyte block
Higher-volume:
- First machine base fee: $395/mo.
- Additional machine under same account: $100/mo.
- Included data transfer: 20,000 Megabyte
- Additional data transfer: $2.50/100 Megabyte block
Setup fee: $125
Fee to switch from Low to Higher volume, or vice verse: $50

Flat for Bandwidth Colocation

Optionally, you can colocate by purchasing a particular amount of bandwidth to the Internet. This is similar to purchasing a fractional T-1, except the telephone company charges (typically $300+) are replaced by a fee to colocate the server. There are two components to this service, the fee to locate your machine, and the bandwidth itself.

First machine base fee: $145/mo.
Additional machine under same account: $100/mo.
Bandwidth options:
- 56 Kbps: $100/mo.
- 128 Kbps: $235/mo.
- 256 Kbps: $375/mo.
- 384 Kbps: $490/mo.
- 512 Kbps: $595/mo.
Setup fee: $125
Fee to switch bandwidth level: $50

All terms and parameters of these accounts, both explicit and implied, are subject to change without notice prior to the account being implemented, and with reasonable notice (generally 30 days) after the account has been activated. Tsoft may, in its discretion, "grandfather" advantagious terms and/or pricing for an existing customer or group of customers.
