NORTHPOINT REFERRAL SPECIAL July 16-August 31, 1999 -- DOUBLE REFERRAL CREDIT ON NORTHPOINT DSL REFERRALS

From July 17 through August 31, 1999, Tsoft is offering double referral credit for referrals of new customers to us for NorthPoint DSL service. If you refer a new customer (not an existing Tsoft customer upgrading) to us during this time period for NorthPoint DSL service we will give you a month's of their Internet service charges (not their DSL line charge, see below) as credits just like we normally do after they have completed two months of paid service (see below), and give you a second month's of their Internet service charges (again, not their DSL line charge) as credit after they have completed their fourth month of paid service! If they leave before the fourth month, but after the second, you'll still get to keep the single month of your referral credit. The referred user must place their order for a NorthPoint DSL line by the end of the period, even if it is installed later due to normal install intervals. If NorthPoint does not serve their location and they choose to wait for NorthPoint service, you will get this double credit whenever they are installed, even if they take some other service from us in the meanttime (such as a regular dialup account), as long as NorthPoint becomes available for line ordering at their location by Dec. 31, 1999. If your referral can't get NorthPoint now and opts for DSL over Covad lines or another of our services, unfortunately we will only be able to provide the single month of credit, as described below under our normal referral credit program.

There is NO LIMIT to the amount of referral credit you can earn, just remember it has no cash value, only usable towards service here at Tsoft.

Notes and restrictions:

Only DSL accounts provided over NorthPoint DSL lines are doubled, though referred accounts for Covad or Pacbell DSL, and dialup accounts, still receive a single month of credit after two completed, paid months as usual.
Referral credit is only available on referrals of users who have not had an account with us in the past year. Referral credit is not available on your own accounts or subaccounts.
Please, NO SPAMMING, mass emails, or UseNet postings; even if you do generate referrals via those unseemly methods, you will NOT receive any credit.

Our ongoing referral credit offer...

Advertising is expensive, and so we love to get customers by referrals from our existing customers, and would rather give back to our existing customers by way of service credits for sending business our way... So, we are glad to offer credit in the amount of one month's service credit to your account when you refer someone to Tsoft for service. The program works as follows:

Send us a customer and be sure they mention you at the time of signup as the existing customer who referred them; we always ask how new signups heard about us.
Your referral may participate in any free trial period or other signup promotions we may offer. Likewise you may be in a free trial period yourself when you refer someone, but we will still credit you for the referral.
Once your referral has signed up with us, paid for, and completed two months of paid service (any free time doesn't count towards the two months of service) with Tsoft, we will issue a credit to your account in the amount of one month's of the referral's service fee on qualifying services (see below).
The credit has no cash value and may only be used to offset service charges against your account here.
Referral credit is only available on referrals of users who have not had an account with us in the past year. Referral credit is not available on your own accounts or subaccounts.

Signups on the following dialup services qualify for referral credits:

Personal PPP account
Personal PPP/Shell account
Shell-only account (even if only telneted to)
Family Account
Personal ISDN account
Charter/unmetered ISDN account
Dedicated modem or ISDN dialup account
Any fixed-cost account options to the above accounts such as static IP address, static IP subnets, Virtual Domain hosting, extra email boxes, etc.
The average of the first two months charges for any excess dialup time on measured Personal ISDN service.

Note specifically that we do not issue credit for any per-transfer usage charges such as web hosting bandwidth, though we haven't been charging anyone those charges anyway.

Signups on DSL services qualify for referral credits:

On the base monthly Internet service account charge
Any fixed-cost account options to the above account such as static IP address, static IP subnets, Shell account option, Virtual Domain hosting, extra email boxes, etc.
The average of the first two months charges for any excess traffic if not waived (note no one has yet to incur this)

Note specifically that we do not issue credit for any per-transfer usage charges such as web hosting bandwidth, except we do for DSL data transfer. We also do not issue referral credits for installation charges or the DSL line charge itself.

Other services such as leased lines may qualify for some service credits, but you'll need to contact us directly to check on a case by case basis; only services above qualify automatically. If you have any questions, please let us know and we'll clarify the above or add specifically if we forgot something we intended to include. We do recommend keeping track of your referrals and double check with us if you don't get credit; on a couple of occasions we have noted the referrer but failed to enter it into our database for crediting, and any problems will be promptly corrected. If a new user cites multiple users as referring them, we generally split the total credit evenly amongst those users.
