Open Internet Explorer by double clicking on the desktop icon or finding it in your list of programs.

From the menu bar select Tools, then Mail and News, then Read News.

If this is the first time you are trying to use the News program the Internet Connection Wizard will open. Enter your name in the space provided on the first screen, then click Next.

Enter your email address for posting messages, then click Next.

Rawbandwidth has 3 different news servers to chose from:

nntp.tsoft.net ---> local news groups
nntp2.tsoft.net ---> outsourced to ISP News
nntp3.tsoft.net ---> outsourced to Super News

Enter the server name in the space provided, then click Next.

Click Finish to complete the wizard and have the news reader open for you.

If the wizard did not open for you or if you are adding a new server, from the menu bar select Tools then Accounts.

From the Internet Accounts screen click Add, then select News. This will bring you to the Wizard.

After setting up your account you will want to add some newsgroups to read.

From the menu bar select Tools then Newsgroups.

There are many newsgroups to choose from. If you know the newsgroup you would like to join type the name in the Display newsgroups which contain: field.

In the example Tsoft was typed in to find all of the newsgroups related to Raw Bandwidth/Tsoft.

Highlight the group you want to join by clicking on it, then clicking the Subscribe button.

Click Go to or OK to return to the Internet Explorer news program.

If you clicked OK you will see the newsgroup listed and the option to check the box New messages only. To view all of the messages double click on the newsgroup entry.

Now you will see a list of the messages currently in the news group. Double click on a message to read it.
